Preston didn’t have a great start to this month, losing 1-0 to Birmingham City on April 1 before playing out a goalless draw with Watford last week. However, the Invincibles returned to winning ways courtesy of defeating Huddersfield on Tuesday. Although the Terriers took the lead through Josh Koroma’s opener three minutes before the break, the Lilywhites came out all guns blazing in the second-half and netted four times thanks to Will Keane’s 53rd-minute equaliser from the penalty spot and Milutin Osmajic’s late hat-trick. It was their 18th second tier victory of the campaign. Having collected ten points from last 15, Preston now have a very good chance to challenge for the top six. A victory on Saturday will take Ryan Lowe’s side to within two points of the playoffs.
Norwich, on the other hand, suffered a 3-1 defeat to leaders Leicester City at the start of this month, but quickly bounced back with a narrow 1-0 win over second-placed Ipswich Town last week thanks to Marcelino Nunez’s first-half effort. However, on Tuesday, the Canaries were forced to share the spoils away to relegation battlers Sheffield Wednesday despite taking a 2-0 lead through early efforts from Josh Sarget and Borja Sainz. The Owls netted two late goals through Michael Ihiekwe and Michael Smith. Meanwhile, David Wagner’s side hold a dismal away-record in the this season’s Championship, recording just five wins from 21 outings.
