The visitors are heading into the match on the back of a thrilling 3-2 victory over Paris Saint Germain in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie in the mid-week.
Barcelona will be bidding to extend their wining run to six games across all competitions when they travel to Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla on Saturday to take on Cadiz in a La Liga fixture. The visitors are heading into the match on the back of a thrilling 3-2 victory over Paris Saint Germain in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie in the mid-week, while Submarino Marillo secured a 1-0 league-win over Granada CF almost two weeks ago. The impressive run of form has helped Xavi’s men to climb to the second spot in the Spanish top flight standings, having collected 67 points from 30 games, 12 adrift of the leaders Real Madrid. The hosts, meanwhile, are languishing at the 18th position, with 25 points to their name from 30 top flight matches, three away from survival.

Barcelona came up with an impressive performance in Paris to put themselves in a strong position to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League. The La Liga champions took the lead through Raphinha’s 38th-minute opener, but PSG fought back to take a 2-1 lead early in the second-half. However Blaugrana restored the lead thanks to Raphinha’s second of the night on the hour-mark and Robert Lewandowski’s winner 13 minutes from time. It was their fifth successive win in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and conceding just tree in the period. Moreover, the result extended their unbeaten run to 12 games across all competitions. When it comes to the La Liga, Xavi’s side boast the second-best away-record this season, picking up 30 points from 14 games, remaining unbeaten in the process.
Cadiz, on the other hand, have recorded four wins, 13 draws and 13 defeats from 30 La Liga games this season, and their latest success came against Granada towards the end of last month. Robert Navarro’s lone goal in the second-half helped Submarino Amarillo take all three points versus the Nazaries last time out. Now, they are just three points behind 17th-placed Celta Vigo, and there is still a lot of football to be played before the end of the campaign. Meanwhile, Mauricio Pellegrino’s side have suffered only four home league defeats in 2023-24,
