Olympiacos, on the other hand, failed to defend their Greek top flight title following a disappointing third place finish in the standings last term. Red-Whites collected 73 points from 36 league-games, ten points adrift of champions AEK Athens. The 47-time league-winners are currently under the stewardship of Spaniard Diego Martinez and have already played three friendlies this summer. The Thrylos got the better of Slovacko 2-1 in their pre-season opener on July 8, before playing out back-to-back 1-1 draws against Nordsjaelland and Sabah Baku. Georgios Masouras scored the equaliser for the Red-Whites against Sabh Baku last time out. After the game against Rangers, Olympiacos will play one more friendly against Norwich at the end of this month before beginning their Europa League qualification campaign in August.
