Queens Park Rangers will play host to Huddersfield Town in an EFL Championship fixture at Loftus Road on Sunday. QPR are heading into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Millwall last Saturday, while the visitors played out a 1-1 draw away to Blackburn Rovers. The victory helped the hosts to move to 22nd spot in the English second tier standings, having collected 24 points from 28 games, three adrift of the Terriers, who are in the safe zone. Meanwhile, the reverse fixture between these two sides back in October last year ended 2-1 in favour of the visitors thanks to efforts from Kian Harratt and Jack Rudoni, while the Hoops pulled one back through Jake Clarke Salter.

QPR saw their eight-game winless run across all competitions come to an end against Millwall last time out courtesy of two unanswered goals from Ilias Chair and Sinclair Armstrong. It was the Hoops’ first success since the 2-0 victory over Hull City on December 9. Marti Cifuentes’ side now have three clean sheets in eight games. However, they possess the worst home-record in the second division, having collected just seven points from their most reccent six games at Loftus Road.
Huddersfield, on the other hand, earned a point away to Blackburn last weekend, thanks to Michal Helik’s 23rd-minute equaliser. The result ended their winless run to five games in all competitions, including a 5-0 thrashing away to Manchester City in the FA Cup earlier this month. Meanwhile, Darren Moore’ side are winless in their last six games on the road, recording three defeats in the process. The Terriers have registered five wins and 12 draws from 28 league games this season, while a 12th second tier defeat on Sunday will see them end the week in the relegation zone.
