Defending champions Porto came from behind to snatch a point against Estoril Praia at Antonio Coimbra da Mota. Tiago Gouveia put the hosts ahead in the 41st-minute. The Canaries were reduced to a man-less, 13 minutes from time when Mor Ndiaye received a red card. And then, just when it looked like the hosts would take all three points, Mehdi Taremi netted a 99th-minute equaliser to snatch a draw from the jaws of defeat for Porto. It was the Dragons’ first draw of the season, while they have won five league games so far.
Braga, on the other hand, are one of just two sides yet to lose in the league this season, the other being Benfica. The Archbishops have made a stunning start to the season, winning five of their seven league games thus far to accumulate 19 points, just two behind leaders Benfica. In their last outing, Braga put two goals past Vizela without reply courtesy of late strikes from Vitor Oliviera and Ricardo horta. It was the Minho Warriors’ eighth consecutive victory across all competitions.
Porto forward Fernando Andrade is sidelined with a long-term injury, while midfielder Otavia is also occupying the medical room. Iranian striker Taremi, will continue to spearhead the attack alongside Evalison. Franco and Uribe could form the midfield-duo. As for Braga, defenders Victor Gomez and Sikou Miakate are nursing injuries. Abel Ruiz is expected to lead the line with Simon Banza and R Horta in support.
Porto probable starting lineup: Costa, Conceicao, Cardoso, Carmo, Sanusi, Eustaquio, Franco, Uribe, Pepe, Evalison, Taremi
Braga probable starting lineup: Lima, Fabiano, Tormena, Oliveira, Sequeira, Al Mustrati, Racic, Medeiros, R Horta, Ruiz, Banza.
