Playoff hopefuls Millwall will host Swansea City in an EFL championship fixture at The Den on Tuesday night. The hosts are currently holding on to the sixth and final playoff spot in the English second tier standings, having collected 57 points from 36 games, just two clear of seventh-placed Norwich City. The Swans, meanwhile, are languishing at the 17th position, with 43 points to their name, 11 away from drop zone. The Lions are heading into the match on the back of a narrow 1-0 win away to Reading on Saturday, while the visitors were beaten 3-1 by Middlesbrough, on the same day.

Millwall got the better of Reading, thanks to Andrea Vogslammer’s lone goal, from the penalty spot, inside the opening 11 minutes at the Madejski Stadium. It was a cagey affair at Select Car Leasing Stadium as only one shot on target was recorded by both teams combined in the entire match. Nevertheless, The Lions managed to squeeze out all three points away from home and it was their 16th second tier triumph of the season. Meanwhile, Millwall have still not posted back-to-back wins since October. On a positive note, the Lions have scored in nine of their most recent 10 outings.
Swansea, on the other hand, are winless in their last five games, while losing four of those fixtures. On Saturday, Russell Martin’s side lost to in-form Middlesbrough, despite taking the lead through Joel Piroe inside the opening 15 minutes. It was their 15th league-defeat of the season. Meanwhile, Swansea’s last triumph came against relegation-battlers Blackpool (2-1) on February 15, courtesy of Matthew Sorinola’s 21st-minute effort and an own goal by Callum Connolly 17 minutes from time.
Millwall boss Gary Rowett is unlikely to make too many changes to the side that got three points against Reading in the weekend. Last match’s goal-scorer Vogslammer might continue to operate alongside Honeyman, Fleming and Bradshaw in the attacking department. As for Swansea, Piroe might spearhead the atack, with Cooper and Ntcham in support.
Millwall Probable Lineup: Long, McNamara, Cresswell, Cooper, Wallace, Leonard, Saville, Honeyman, Fleming, Voglsammer, Bradshaw
Swansea City Probable Lineups: Fisher, Cabango, Wood, Darling, Sorinola, Grimes, Cundle, Manning, Ntcham, Cooper, Piroe
