Blackpool will play host to Queens Park Rangers in an EFL Championship fixture at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday night. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat away to Bristol City on Saturday, while QPR secured a narrow 1-0 win over Watford, on the same day. Blackpool are currently languishing at the 22nd spot in the English second tier standings, having collected just 32 points from 36 games, six adrift of safety. The visitors, meanwhile, are sitting three places above the Seasiders, separated by 10 points.

Since edging past Stoke City on February 18, courtesy of Ian Poveda’s lone goal, Blackpool have lost three of their last four games. Last weekend, The Tangerines were beaten by Bristol City, courtesy of second-half efforts from Andras Weimann and Alex Scott. It was their 18th league-defeat of the campaign. Meanwhile, Blackpool are unbeaten in their last five home-games, although four of those have ended in Stalemates.

QPR, on the other hand, defeated Watford in their last outing, thanks to Tim Iroegbunam’s lone goal inside the opening 15 minutes. The result ended the Hoops’ 12-game winless streak and helped them move  ten points clear from the relegation zone. With ten games remaining, new boss Gareth Ainsworth will want to finish the season as high as possible. Three more wins might guarantee QPR one more season in the second tier.

Probable Lineups

Blackpool forward Gary Madine is sidelined with a knee injury, therefore either Morgan Rogers or CJ Hamilton could come into the starting eleven, joining Bowler, Garbutt and Yates in the attacking department. As for QPR, Ainsworth is likely to make too many alterations to the side that secured victory against Watford last time out. Jamal Lowe might partner Martin up front, with Kakay and Drewe occupying the flanks.

Blackpool probable lineups: Maxwell, Gabriel, Nelson, Thorniley, Thompson, Connolly, Carey, Bowler, Rogers, Garbutt, Yates

QPR Probable Lineups: Dieng, Dickie, Dunne, Field, Drewe, Iroegbunam, Dozzell, Johansen, Kayak, Lowe, Martin
