The reverse fixtures between these two clubs in October last year ended 2-1 in favour of the Riversiders courtesy of second-half efforts from Tyrhys Dolan and Brereton Diaz.
Two sides challenging for a Championship playoff spot will be up against each other on Monday on the final matchday when Millwall play host to Blackburn Rovers at the Den. The hosts are currently occupying sixth spot in the English second tier standings, having collected 68 points from 45 games, while three teams just below them are locked on 66 points, that includes the Rovers sitting at the ninth position. Meanwhile, the reverse fixtures between these two clubs in October last year ended 2-1 in favour of the Riversiders courtesy of second-half efforts from Tyrhys Dolan and Brereton Diaz. Although the Lions puled one back through Jake Cooper fifteen minutes from time, Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side held on to the slender lead and secured all three points at Ewood Park.

Millwall are heading into the match on the back of a thrilling 3-2 win away to Blackpool last weekend. Tom Bradshaw’s brace and Zian Flemming’s lone goal from the penalty spot helped the Lions secure all three points at Bloomfield road and record their 19th league-win of the season. Meanwhile, Millwall have won 11 of their 22 home-games in the Championship this term but their last match at the Den ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City. Despite recording just two wins from their last eight outings, Gary Rowett’s side have managed to keep their fate in their own hands, holding a two-point lead over the chasing pack ahead into the final matchday.
Blackburn Rovers, on the other hand, came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against third-placed Luton Town last time out thanks to Hayden Carter’s 86th-minute equaliser. The result extended their winless run to eight games in the second tier, while drawing five in the period. The Riversides desperately need to take all three points at the Den on Monday and rely on Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion failing to win their respective fixtures at Preston North End and Swansea respectively, to secure a top six finish. Meanwhile, the Rovers have the sixth worst away-record in the league, having collected just 23 points from 22 outings. Their last away-win in the league came back in February against Queens Park Rangers.
Blackburn’s last visit to the Den was in 2021 and the match ended in a 1-1 draw after Ben Brereton diaz canceled out Jed Wallace’s opener. The Lions’s previous victory over the Rovers came way back in December 2020. Since then, the Riversiders have prevailed in three of the last five meetings, while two encounters ended in draws. Blackburn have a clear advantage over Millwall when it comes to the head-to-head, having won 13 times in 27 clashes, while the Lions have been victorious only on four occasions.
