The reigning champions failed to capitalise on leaders Arsenal’s slip-up away to Everton last time out, as Harry Kane’s 15th-minute strike handed Man City their fourth top flight defeat of the season. As of now Pep Guardiola’s side are occupying second spot in the English top flight standings, having collected 45 points from 21 games, five adrift of Gunners, who have a game in hand. Aston Villa are currently sitting at the 11th position in the standings, with 28 points to their name from 21 matches.
