Norwich City will be looking to make it three successive wins in the EFL Championship when they play host to Plymouth Argyle at the Carrow Road on Friday. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a dominant 3-0 win away to Stoke City on March 16, before the international break, while the Pilgrims suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Preston North End last time out. The victory helped the Canaries to move to sixth spot in the English second tier standings, having collected 61 points from 38 games, three away from seventh-placed Hull City, who have a game in hand. The visitors, meanwhile, are languishing at the 18th position, with 41 points from their name from 38 second tier matches, just two clear of the relegation zone.

Norwich have taken nine points from their last four outings, recording three wins against the likes of Sunderland, Rotherham United and Stoke, with an overall score on 9-0. After thrashing rock bottom side Rotherham 5-0 on March 9, the Canaries traveled to Bet365 Stadium, and put three goals past the Potters without reply courtesy of one effort each from Josh Sargent, Gabriel Sara and Ashley Barnes. It was their 18th second tier victory of the campaign. Moreover, David Wagner’s side boast the fourth best home record in the division this term, collecting 41 points from 19 games at Carrow Road so far. They are unbeaten at home since the 3-1 loss to Blackburn Rovers back in November last year and have won each of their last six matches in front of their own supporters.
Plymouth, on the other hand, have recorded ten wins, 11 draws and 17 defeats from 38 Championship games so far. Their last win came away to Middlesbrough towards the end of last month thanks to two unanswered goals in the first-half through Matthew Sorinola and Ryan Hardie. After that, the Pilgrims went on a four-game winless run, losing three matches in the period. The pressure continues to mount on head coach Ian Foster, who has won just five of 15 games in charge of Plymouth. Meanwhile, on a positive note, the Pilgrims secured a thrilling 6-2 victory over Norwich in the reverse fixture back in September last year.
