Levante secured a third-place finish in the 2022-23 La Liga 2 standings courtesy of collecting 72 points from 42 games, level on points with second-placed Las Palmas, who earned direct promotion to the La Liga because of superior goal-difference. Although the Frogs thrashed Albacete 6-1 on aggregate in the semi-final playoff tie, they failed to get the better of Alaves in the two-legged final and are now preparing for a second season in the Segunda Division. After the game against the Potters, Javi Calleja’s men will play couple of friendlies against Nottingham Forest and Leganes before starting their 2023-24 La Liga 2 season away to Amorebeita.
