Leicester have made the perfect start to their quest to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking, having recorded 13 wins and one defeat from their first 14 league games so far. Their lone defeat came against Hull City on August 2, but since then Enzo Marseca’s men have been in stupendous form, winning nine consecutive Championship fixtures, scoring 22 goals and keeping five clean sheets in the process. Leicester secured all three points against QPR last time out thanks to Stephy Mavididi’s 30th-minute opener and Harry Winks’ winner ten minutes from time.
Leeds, on the other hand, had a comparatively easier outing against a struggling Huddersfield last weekend. The Whites had close to 75% ball possession, attempted 20 shots with five of them on target, and netting four times thanks to a brace each from Daniel James and Crysencio Summerville. The Terriers scored a consolation goal through Michael Helik. Daniel Farke’s side have now won five of their last seven games, taking 15 points in the process and are trailing second-placed Ipswich, who have a game in hand, by nine points. Meanwhile the Whites have to improve their away results with three defeats already coming in their travels.
