The hosts reached this far in the competition by thrashing Djurgarden 5-0 in the two-legged last-16 tie a few weeks ago, while Fiorentina secured a 5-1 aggregate win over Sivasspor. Meanwhile, these two clubs have met twice in the European competition and on both occasions, the visitors came out on top in the 2015-16 Europa League group stage.
