Granada will be looking to end their three-game losing streak in the La Liga when they play host to Real Betis at Los Carmenes on Thursday. With just three points collected from their opening three top tier games, Nazaries are languishing at the 19th spot in the Spanish top flight standings, two points adrift of safety. The visitors, meanwhile, are sitting at the 11th position, having pocketed eight points from six league-games so far.

The newly promoted Granada haven’t made the best of starts to their 2023-24 La Liga campaign, recording one win and five defeats from their opening six league-games so far. Their lone success came against Mallorca (3-2) towards the end of last month thanks to goals from Miguel Angel, Bryan Zaragoza Martinez and Myrto Uzuni. But since then, Nazaries have lost each of their three outings against the likes of Real Sociedad, Girona and Las Palmas. Their latest loss came against Las Palmas at Gran Canaria on Sunday courtesy of Kirian Rodriguez’s dramatic winner two minutes into the injury time. Although scoring goals hasn’t been an issue for Paco lopez’s side, having netted seven goals in their last four games, defence has been leaky to say the least, conceding 13 in the period. Meanwhile, on a positive note, Granada have won two of their last three home-encounters with Real Betis.
As for Betis, they have been hot n cold this season so far, recording two wins, three defeats and two draws from seven games across all competitions. Since their narrow 1-0 La Liga-win over Rayo Vallecano at the start of this month, Manuel Pellegrini’s side have suffered back-to-back defeats against the likes of Barcelona (5-0) and Rangers (1-0), in the league and Europa League respectively. Meanwhile, the Greens welcomed Cadiz on Sunday aiming to get back to winning ways, but the Yellow Submarine put up a solid defensive shift to share the spoils. Betis went behind through Chris Ramos’ 41st-minute effort before Guido Rodriguez equalised on the of hour mark. El Gloriso had more than 60% of ball possession and attempted 21 shots with seven of them on target, compared to just a solitary attempt on goal by the visitors, but failed to find the winner.
