Bournemouth conclude their training camp in Marbella with a friendly against Israeli outfit Maccabi Tel Aviv on Sunday. The Premier League club are heading into the match on the back of a 4-0 win over Hibernian on Thursday, while the Yellows suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates. The Cherries are preparing for yet another campaign in the English top flight having finished 15th in the points table last term, while Maccabi secured a third-place finish in the 2022-23 Israel Premier League and are set to play in the Europa Conference League qualifying round next week.

Due to unforgiving Marbella heat, Bournemouth’s friendly with Hibs was split into three 30-minute periods, but the Cherries attackers were in full swing scoring four times, thanks to Philip Billing’s brace and one goal each from David Brooks and Joshua Anthony. It was Andoni Iraola’s first match as the head coach of Bournemouth. It wills be the Irishman’s first managerial assignment.
