Bodo/Glimt will host Arsenal in a UEFA Europa League fixture at Aspmyra Stadion on Thursday. The reverse fixture between these two sides last week ended in a 3-0 victory for Arsenal, courtesy of goals from Eddie Nketiah, Rob Holding and Fabio Vieira. The result helped the Gunners to move to the summit of Group A, having collected a maximum six points from two games, while Bodo/Glimt are sitting at the third position, with four points from three games. The Norwegian outfit are level on points with second-placed PSV Eindhoven, but separated by goal-difference.

Bodo/Glimt are heading into the match on the back of a dominant 4-1 victory over Sandefjord in a Eliteserien fixture at home on Sunday. The visitors took the lead on the stroke of half time, but Bodo/Glimt came out all guns blazing in the second half and netted four times courtesy of a brace from Hugo Vetlesen and one goal each from Brice Wembango and Amahl Pellegrino. It was the Yellow Horde’s 14th league-win of the campaign in 25 games, taking their points tally to 48, 15 adrift of leaders Molde. Meanwhile, in the Europa League, the Norwegian outfit started off with a 1-1 draw against PSV Eindhoven before getting the better of FC Zurich 2-1, and then got thrashed against the Gunners.

Arsenal, on the other hand, began their European campaign with a 2-1 win over Zurich and then saw their game against PSV postponed due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The Gunners have been in stunning form, both in the domestic and European circuit. Mikel Arteta’s side have won eight of their nine Premier League games thus far to be sitting at the summit of the standings. Last time out, the Gunners beat Liverpool 3-2 courtesy of Gabriel Mertinelli’s opener inside the opening minute and Bukayo Saka’s brace.
