Feyenoord will host Midtjylland in a UEFA Europa League fixture at De Kuip on Thursday. The reverse fixture between these two sides in Herning ended in a 2-2 draw. Feyenoord took a two goal lead through Sebastian Szymansi and Orkun Kokcu, before the break. But the Danish outfit came out all guns blazing in the second half and leveled the score courtesy of strikes from Gustav Isaksen and Jose Carlos Ferreira Junior. The Club of the People are occupying fourth position in the Dutch top flight standings, having collected 20 points from nine games. Feyenoord began their Europa League campaign with a 4-2 defeat against Lazio before thrashing SK Sturm Graz 6-0, and then shared the spoils against Midtjylland last Thursday.
Midtjylland, on the other hand, began their Europa League season with a narrow 1-0 defeat to SK Sturm Graz, before thrashing Lazio 5-1. Meanwhile, in the domestic circuit, the Wolves have pocketed 17 points from 12 games, to be sitting at the fifth position in the Danish Superliga standings. Last time out against AGF, the Boys of the Moor secured a narrow 1-0 win courtesy of Anders Dreyer’s goal, three minutes from time. It was Midtjylland’s fourth league win of the season.

Feyenoord winger Oussama Idrissa is likely to miss Thursday’s game because of a knock he picked up against Twente. Danilo is likely to lead the line with Dilrosun and Szymanski in support. As for Midtjylland, forward Junior Brumado is sidelined with an injury. Isaksen, Sisto and Kaba are expected to form the front three.
