Zheng Siwei is currently married to his longtime girlfriend Liu Yutong who is also an athlete like Siwei and even have a child named Aiden.
Zheng Siwei is a Chinese badminton player who specializes in mixed doubles and is a three-time World Champion and two-time Asian Games gold medalist in mixed doubles. Moreover, he also helped the national team clinch the 2018 Thomas and 2019 Sudirman Cup. He currently participates with Huang Yaqiong with whom he won the above-mentioned titles.
Zheng joined the national team in 2013, and excelled in the junior events, collecting four gold medals, a silver and a bronze at the World Junior Championships. He followed this with six golds and a silver at the Asian Junior Championships from 2013 to 2015. Subsequently, he participated in the senior event, winning doubles titles in New Zealand and Brasil Open. For his achievements in 2015, the BWF awarded him the Eddy Choong Most Promising Player of the Year. However, Zheng’s breakthrough year was in 2016 when he achieved the world number 1 ranking in mixed doubles partnering with Chen Qingchen. He and Chen reached thirteen Superseries finals, won the year-end tournament Dubai World Superseries Finals in 2016 and 2017, and the silver medal at the 2017 World Championships.
Subsequently, he forged a new mixed doubles pairing with Huang Yaqiong in November 2017 and started their partnership by winning the China, Hong Kong and Macau Open in consecutive weeks. He again ascended to the mixed doubles world number 1 ranking on 9 August 2018, with seven 2018 World Tour titles, and gold medals at the World Championships and Asian Games. Now, with the Paris Olympics around the corner, Zheng will look to complete the cabinet with an Olympic Gold which he narrowly missed in Tokyo.
On the personal front, Zheng is currently married and settled with his wife Liu Yutong. The couple has forged a dynamic and beautiful partnership which is as pwerful and successful as Zheng’s on-court partnership.
