Japanese badminton player Naru Shinoya has announced her retirement from the international badminton circuit. The 30-year-old mixed doubles specialist made the announcement via an Instagram post, expressing gratitude for the support throughout her career.

Naru Shinoya announced her retirement from international badminton in an Instagram post. However, she will continue to play in national badminton tournaments as she is affiliated with the NTT East team. She also mentioned that she will give her best performance in her upcoming matches.

While Shinoya has struggled with form in recent international tournaments, her career includes notable highlights. She and her partner, Kyohei Yamashita, reached the quarter-finals of the Princess Sirivannavari Thailand Masters 2024. Her most significant achievement was a bronze medal win at the 2021 World Championships in the mixed doubles category.

In 2024, she participated in The Asia Championship held in China. Unfortunately, she lost her first match against the mixed duo of Kim Won Ho and Jeong Na Eun from South Korea, making it a disappointing tournament for her. Nevertheless, she has earned a significant reputation in the world of badminton with her exceptional performances.

Despite recent challenges, Naru Shinoya leaves behind a legacy of significant accomplishments and will be remembered as a skilled and dedicated mixed doubles player.
