The Badminton Asia Championship 2024 is set to commence on April 9 in Ningbo, China. Being one of the premier continental showpieces in the calendar year, top players from around the globe would like to make their mark in this tournament and thereby secure their Olympic spots.

Running into the 41st edition, this particular tournament is organised biennially by the Badminton Asian Confederation. Last year’s Championships unfolded at the Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamdan Indoor Hall in Dubai. Indonesia’s Anthony Sinisuka Ginting claimed the men’s singles title and Taiwan’s Tai Tzu-ying triumphed in the women’s singles.

On the other hand, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty also secured a gold medal for India in the men’s doubles. However, this year the No. 1 Indian men’s doubles pairing has decided to step away from the court over injury concerns.
