According to the reports the wife of Indian para- badminton player and IAS officer Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj is Ritu suhas.
Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj was born on July 2nd, 1983 in Hassan, Karnataka. He is a professional para-badminton player, and Paralympic medalist, and has been honoured with the Arjuna Award. Suhas is also an IAS officer from the batch of 2007 and served as the district magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar. Currently, he has the position of Secretary of Sports and Youth Welfare.
Suhas, an engineer who graduated from the National Institute of Technology, is the first Bureaucrat who has achieved several titles in the field of para-badminton. He has won a Paralympic medal and was honoured with the Arjuna Award. Suhas holds the World Ranking 2 in men’s singles and also won a silver medal at the Tokyo Paralympics 2021 in the SL4 category.
In March 2018, he achieved the title of National Champion by winning the Gold Medal in the Men’s Singles at the 2nd National Para-Badminton Championships held in Varanasi. He is the first Indian bureaucrat to win a professional International Badminton Championship, which he won during the 2016 Asian Para-Badminton Championships in Beijing. At that time, he was serving as the District Magistrate of Azamgarh. He defeated Hary Susanto of Indonesia in the finals.
Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj, despite having an ankle disability, has achieved numerous titles in Para badminton. He won a gold medal in the 2016 Asian Para-badminton, a silver and a bronze medal in the China Para-badminton International, a silver and a bronze medal in the Denmark Para-badminton, and a silver medal in the 2021 Paralympics. Most recently, he won a gold medal in the BWF World Championships 2024. Suhas proves that disability can’t become a barrier to one’s success.

Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj is a true champion of Indian badminton. With years of experience in the domestic circuit, he has earned numerous administrative tournament titles. However, his crowning achievement came in March 2018 when he won the Gold Medal in the Men’s Singles at the 2nd National Para-Badminton Championships held in Varanasi, earning him the title of National Champion. Suhas has two children, his daughter Sanvi 5 years old and his son Vivaan 2 years old.
Ritu Suhas is the wife of Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj, and she works as a PCS officer in Ghaziabad in the role of ADM. In her early days, Ritu had to face various challenges such as financial problems and lack of support from her family to pursue her career. However, with her focus and dedication, she managed to achieve her dream. Additionally, Ritu won the Mrs U.P and Mrs India contests in 2019. She married to Suhas in 2008.
