Chirag Sen is an Indian Badminton player who was born on 22nd July 1998 in Almora Uttrakhand, Chirag picked this sport from his father who was also a badminton player and coach, Chirag started his training under the guidance of his father from the age of five years old only.
From the age of 13 Chirag started to win titles in State and national badminton tournaments, his further journey began at Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy Banglore under the training of well-known badminton coach Vimal Kumar who provided Chirag with the necessary skills, guidance, and support to elevate Chirag’s career in Badminton.
Chirag had an impressive performance in his domestic career. Chirag won the gold medal in the men’s double category with his brother Lakshya Sen at the 2015 BWF Junior International. Chirag has won several badminton tournaments, including the 2020 Iran International and the 2020 Kenya International. He recently also won the Senior National Badminton Championship in India.
Chirag Sen has a World ranking of 109 in Men’s single and 105 in Men’s double and a World tour ranking of 50 in Men’s single and 43 in doubles. With focus, discipline, and dedication toward the game he has achieved many things at a young age and has many more achievements to go. Chirag’s brother made a huge contribution to his career growth. Chirag said in the interview with Times of India, “We both share a great bond. It has been a great journey for us as we have been in the academy together, taking care of each other and his contribution is immense in my career”.
