Welcome to our live coverage and post-show analysis of WWE Raw from Buffalo, New York, on July 10. Even though there were more non-wrestling parts in the preview for this week’s show than matches, we did learn about two matches in advance. The teams of Matt Riddle and Drew McIntyre faced off against Imperium, and The Miz and Tommaso Ciampa competed in a No Disqualification match. Additionally, Cody Rhodes addressed Ricochet, Logan, and Brock Lesnar. Paul and Maxxine Dupri met in person, and Maxxine Dupri celebrated her Alpha Academy graduation. Let’s review everything that transpired on Monday’s Raw.

Imperium vs. Matt Riddle and Drew McIntyre

Damian Priest has proved the problem with Judgement Day ever since Finn Balor won Money in the Bank, according to the commercial he ran at the start of the programme. Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio appeared to persuade him to resolve this behind the scenes. Ripley was left to offer a brief promo after Balor eventually left and challenged anyone to approach her. Before leaving in the back, Seth Rollins walked out carrying a big dish of Buffalo wings and insulted the other candidate for the evening.

McIntyre was the next to arrive for his battle facing Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci with Riddle. Gunther was present to observe his men perform their menial tasks. Early on, Vinci was kept on defense by Riddle and McIntyre, who appeared to be a good tag team. However, as soon as Vinci managed to tag Kaiser, Imperium seized over. The Scottish Warrior stood on the apron like a predator waiting to attack while The Bro spent a considerable amount of time in the ring taking punishment from both opponents.

After several tries, Riddle successfully made the hot tag, and McIntyre started to rampage. It’s wonderful to see McIntyre back on television and looking as terrific as ever in the ring. His hiatus seemed to have given him some much-needed energy. Even though the result was as predictable as they come, this was a good opening tag team match. While Riddle was holding Kaiser back with an ankle lock, McIntyre defeated him with a Claymore Kick to Vinci.

Dominik Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins, Showdown with Ricochet and Logan Paul

Backstage, Dom got into a brief argument with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens before leaving for his battle against Rollins. Like she always is, Mami was by his side. Before the bell rang, Dom and Rollins got into a brawl and fled into the crowd. Balor and Priest then turned on The Visionary and attacked him from behind. Running down to the ring, Zayn and Owens made an effort to even the odds. To give his side the upper hand and expel Judgement Day, Rollins seized a chair. A six-man tag match was then scheduled for later in the night as a result.

Becky Lynch vs. Zoey Stark

Trish Stratus made sure to see the singles battle between Becky Lynch and Zoey Stark from the ringside this week. They fought back and forth, exchanging the initiative numerous times, before Stark used a tremendous springboard dropkick to knock The Man out of the ring and put the performance on hold. Giving them two whole segments to work with allowed them to create a competitive match with many standout moments.

Stark took advantage of the chance and made sure that everyone who saw the show would remember her. After Stratus got involved in a lot of ringside shenanigans, Stark did manage to seize the victory with an intense roll-up. The remainder regarding this was excellent, albeit the conclusion seemed a little awkward.

Maxxine Dupri Graduates, Shayna Baszler vs. Emma

After a little interval, Chad Gable and Otis entered the ring and greeted us to Maxxine’s graduation. She gave a speech about how, after initially considering Gable to be a little troll, she had grown to adore him. The shout “You deserve it” was delightfully started by the crowd. Before The Viking Raiders arrived to end the festivities, Gable gave her an official Alpha Academy jacket. Valhalla ambushed Maxxine and took her jacket as they marched to the ring. This was a semi-funny segment that succeeded in its objective by maintaining the animosity and creating the desire for a follow-up match.

Cody Rhodes Promo, The Miz vs. Tommaso Ciampa

The crowd gave The American Nightmare their customary thunderous applause as he entered the stage, but he wasn’t there to simply shake hands and kiss infants. Despite the fact that he shook a lot of hands on his approach to the ring, he was there to talk about Lesnar. He energized the audience and discussed his relationship with the WWE Universe. This Rhodes advertisement was typical. It was a brief section that didn’t outstay its welcome because he did a wonderful job and it finished without any complications.

Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green vs. Kayden Carter and Katana Chance

Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville faced up against Kayden Carter and Katana Chance as Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez looked on. In recent months, WWE has increased its efforts to create a tag team division for women, and so far, it shows promise but is still not where it needs to be. A nasty pin helped Green and Deville win in a matter of minutes. Although it wasn’t a squash, this was very much like one.

Owens, Zayn and Rollins vs. Mysterio, Balor and Priest

The six-man tag battle between Judgement Day versus Zayn, Owens, and Rollins that was scheduled earlier in the evening served as the evening’s main event. To begin the contest, The Visionary chased Dom outside the ring. Balor attempted to lure him into an assault, but the champion anticipated it and pushed Balor into a corner. Neither caught off guard when these guys put on a strong performance to wrap up the programme because five of them are seasoned professionals and one is on the verge of becoming one.

Although everyone had an opportunity to be the boss, Rollins’ pursuit of Dom was the match’s central plot. The choice was between Zayn and Balor. In order to stop Zayn from launching a Helluva Kick, Ripley grabbed his foot. This prevented Priest from applying a chokeslam, which allowed Balor to win by finishing him off with the Coup de Grace. To close the show and demonstrate that they are once again on the same page, Balor and Priest shared a bear hug.

Overall Show

The non-wrestling portions dominated this week’s Raw, but that is not always a negative thing as long as the correct stories are being advanced. Although Stark and Lynch put on a fantastic performance, The Miz vs. Ciampa surprised everyone by winning the night’s match. They made effective use of the No DQ rule throughout the second half to create a wild contest that left room for a future confrontation.

The established feuds are sort of in a holding pattern as SummerSlam is still a few weeks away. The card will become increasingly detailed as the weeks go by, reducing the need for filler content. The interaction between Paul and Ricochet had the potential to garner the greatest attention. They prepared the ground for a SummerSlam contest. WWE simply needs to make it official.
