WWE superstar Montez Ford of The Street Profits has revealed that he cried a little when The Rock said that he will one day be a world champion.

Speaking on the Bleav Pro Wrestling Podcast, Ford said that he cried a little when he read The Rock’s comments on social media. He said, “I can’t even put into words [how much The Rock’s words meant to me]. But, I did cry a little bit. I ain’t gonna lie, you know? Cause it was big, it was big for me man. It’s just cool to see your heroes recognize you and say like, ‘Hey man, I see you man.’ And I appreciate that. I still do, like, to this day. Because like I said, I’ve been through a lot of stuff in my life. And Rock has been there, in his own way, just him being himself. He’s been there and helped me to be who I am today and inspired me to who I am today. The successes, everything.”

Looking towards WrestleMania 38, Ford said that he and his fellow wrestlers are all rooting for each other. The high flyer said, “We’re basically like a bitter family. Like we all love each other, but all of us still want to be champions and everybody wants to be the best. And I think that’s what just makes the hunger and competitiveness and everything so well rounded and we create these special moments. Cause everybody just wants to do well and go out there and just have bangers, man. Like when you have so many people around you that have that mentality, you have no choice but to go out there and create these moments. So, it’s cool, man. It’s cool.”

The Street Profits are scheduled to take on the Alpha Academy and RK-Bro in a triple threat match for the RAW tag team titles at WrestleMania 38.

Ford wants The Rock at WrestleMania

Montez Ford recently said that he wants to take on The Rock in a match at WrestleMania. Speaking on a recent appearance on the Bubba Show, Montez Ford named The Rock as his dream opponent when asked about his singles career.

He said, “The Rock. It was in 2016, it was against Biff Busick and it was in, I think, Crystal Lake, Florida. It was the very first singles match I’d ever had, it was at a live event and I just remembered going like ‘wow, this is crazy! This is different!’ Watching it and being a part of it and actually being in the ring is two different worlds. It was just a learning experience for me, like especially not just doing singles but evolving and doing tag team. But I felt like when I did that match, it just elevated me even more, like I was working on a new level. But yeah, that was my very first singles match, man. There was probably maybe 130 people there.”
