For additional details, continue reading.  Fans eagerly anticipate the possibility of the Riverside native making a triumphant comeback to the ring, showcasing her skills once again.

Ronda Rousey, a former Strikeforce bantamweight champion and the first UFC bantamweight champion, hasn’t competed in mixed martial arts since her main event match at UFC 207 in December 2016, where she was shockingly knocked out by the now-retired former two-weight champion Amanda Nunes in the first minute.

Rousey leaving WWE ?

Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey quit the organization in 2016 after losing to Amanda Nunes and predicted she might never return. After a few performances each year, she made a permanent transfer to WWE in 2018. Regardless of what she said, rumors about the mixed martial artist’s return to the UFC began to circulate.

When Amanda Nunes declared her retirement in June 2023, leaving the 135-pound title vacant, the rumors gained momentum. After UFC announcer Jon Anik mentioned Rousey, 36, as a potential contender for the bantamweight belt, internet users began to think that she will make a comeback to compete for the vacant title.

‘This was always the plan’

The 36-year-old was mentioned by Jon Anik as a possible contender for the bantamweight championship. Despite there being no certainty on the precise date, a sports journalist told Wrestling Observer Radio that the wrestler has given WWE a hard-out.

“This was always, always, always the plan. It kept getting delayed and then Ronda got hurt. I don’t know the date, and it might be SummerSlam, it might be a little bit after. The deal is that Ronda has a hard out. She gave a date, ‘This is my last date.’ I remember talking to somebody there and it’s like, ‘I know they’re going to do this, and I guess, make the big match for WrestleMania.’ And it’s like, ‘No, her hard out is- they didn’t give me the date but it’s long before WrestleMania,” revealed Anik.

Fans assume Rousey is quitting the WWE to return to MMA and the UFC even though she hasn’t addressed the speculation or confirmed anything. WWE opted to restart the wrestler’s ongoing feud with her longtime friend Shayna Baszler, which had previously been postponed due to Rousey’s arm injury, as the wrestler is slated to depart soon. The conflict began when Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey faced off against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. WWE’s much anticipated fight began after Baszler “betrayed” Rousey by attacking her during the bout.
