WWE Hall of Famer Lita, who has not been seen on WWE since April, after losing to Trish Stratus surprised everyone with her appearance.

Lita has been on WWE TV very frequently since competing in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble, even capturing the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Becky Lynch earlier this year. However, before she and Lynch could defend those titles, Lita was “injured” as part of Lynch and Trish Stratus’ embroiled feud, which is still ongoing.
However, Lita’s kayfabe injuries did not prevent her from competing at a recent indie wrestling competition in Oakland, California. Lita, actual name Amy Dumas, assisted independent star Dark Sheikh in her match against Jack Cartwheel on the most recent Hoodslam show. Dumas entered the ring when the referee was preoccupied and kicked Cartwheel below the belt, allowing Sheikh to roll her opponent up and win. While this isn’t Dumas’ first appearance at a Hoodslam event, the fact that it coincides with her kayfabe absence from WWE makes it a memorable venture for the icon. In addition, with the recent addition of Zoey Stark as Stratus’ companion in her battle with Lynch, some have suggested that Lita may be returning to WWE in the near future to level the odds.

Lita has not appeared on WWE television since April, when she was eliminated by Trish Stratus prior to her and Becky Lynch’s Women’s Tag Team Championship defence against Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan. Trish and Becky lost the belts before Trish turned heel, kicking off her lengthy war with The Man. Lita, on the other hand, has not been seen on WWE television since the incident, but she has returned to the ring. Following the attack angle, Lita is no longer scheduled to appear in WWE, although Stratus stays a Raw mainstay after getting recruited to the brand in the 2023 WWE Draft.
