WWE Superstar Liv Morgan spoke about her injuries on the live stream of the UpUpDownDown’s “School Out” YouTube channel special, stating that she suffered a “torn shoulder.” The former “SmackDown” Women’s Champion hurt her shoulder on the May 12 episode of “WWE SmackDown,” while defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles with Rodriguez against Dakota Kai and Bayley. Kai also suffered a knee injury during the contest.

“I’m like sitting at home with my torn shoulder and I’m like, ‘Wow, I’m really excited to win that UpUpDownDown championship, I’m really excited to beat Mace,'” said Morgan. “His kid just so happened to have a recital, I’d like to see that footage of that recital, just saying. So, you send your friend out [Mansoor], you know what, even with one shoulder, I’m still going to beat you.”

Morgan and Rodriguez had to forfeit the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles due to her injury, and the new champions were determined on the May 29 edition of “WWE Raw” in a Fatal Four-Way match. After beating Damage CTRL’s Bayley and IYO SKY, Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville, and Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler were crowned the new champions.

Morgan and Rodriquez had held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles since the April 10 episode of “Raw,” when they beat Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, who was standing in for another WWE Hall of Famer, Lita.

On an episode of “WWE SmackDown” served as a reminder that Liv Morgan is one of WWE’s most popular talents. Viewers watching the live broadcast may have observed a small child weeping in the crowd after Morgan’s loss against Rhea Ripley. The emotional moment elicited a reaction from Ripley, who blew a kiss to the disappointed admirer, drawing attention to herself as a heel. Ripley’s Twitter profile photo has subsequently been modified to ridicule Morgan’s little admirer.

Later that night, Morgan ran across a long-time admirer, Julie, in the backstage area. Morgan requested Julie to grow up soon after a loving embrace so they could become tag team partners. Julie celebrated her tenth birthday on Friday.

“In eight more years you can be my tag team partner,” Morgan told the fan. “I’m going to wait for you, okay? I’m going to make sure I still wrestle, so we can become new tag team champions in eight years!”

Morgan isn’t the first person to make members of the WWE Universe cry on live television. In December 2021, cameras captured a little girl looking distraught in the wake of Morgan’s loss against Becky Lynch, prompting the fan to be called “Angry Liv Girl” as a spin-off to the iconic “Angry Miz Girl.” Morgan eventually reached out to “Angry Liv Girl” via DM on social media.

Morgan is not slated to wrestle at WrestleMania 39 as of this writing. Morgan has wrestled the titleholder Charlotte Flair, Sonya Deville, and Zoey Stark in a series of four-way matches at recent WWE live events for the “SmackDown” Women’s Title. With WrestleMania less than a month away, it remains to be seen if Morgan gets pushed into a fresh plot.
