At SummerSlam on Saturday night, Roman Reigns will defend the unrivaled WWE Universal Championship against his cousin Jey Uso. The outcome is crucial, as it is with every significant primary event. It is the bow that, when used properly, neatly concludes the tale but, when used incorrectly, keeps it from becoming a classic. After three years of arguably the best storytelling in WWE history, the family members square off in a bout where the outcome will be crucial.

Do the actors and WWE Creative stay on course? Do they drop the ball, leaving supporters disappointed as opposed to pumped up and interested in what happens next? The three finishes that may reasonably occur this weekend at Ford Field in Detroit hold the key to the solution and will determine how The Bloodline tale will proceed moving forward.

Jey Uso Triumphs

In an ideal scenario, Jey would triumph over Reigns, win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, and finish SummerSlam by gloriously assuming his role as the main event Superstar. It would be the fitting conclusion to the three-year narrative that started with Uso defending himself against a freshly turned-heel Reigns in the autumn of 2020, only for him to take over The Bloodline when his brother’s safety was in danger. When Jimmy was hurt by Reigns at the beginning of July, Jey once more stood up for himself and his family by challenging for Tribal Combat and the WWE championship.

In an ideal world, Jey would triumph over Reigns and win the Undisputed Uso, winning would bring everything full circle, neatly winding it up with a satisfying conclusion that rewards the fans’ patience and investment. Unfortunately, there are more dominoes that must fall before the conclusion of The Bloodline narrative. Should Uso defeat Reigns in Detroit, some aspects of the story would be left unresolved and unfinished. Even if it means depriving the audience of witnessing “Main Event Jey Uso’s” resounding success, there is one conclusion that would better fit the entire narrative for that reason alone.

Betrayal

Reigns did what he always does and tried to deceive and light Jey, blaming him for his conduct towards his brother, after a savage beating that left Jimmy Uso in the hospital. Even while it would appear evident that The Tribal Chief was only playing with Jey’s feelings, it does raise the possibility that Jimmy might be affected even though it wasn’t effective on his prior Right Hand Man. The first possible outcome is by easily the most detrimental because of all the narrative damage it would create, but it is still a viable possibility.

Jimmy enters the ring after his brother, perhaps to assist him, only to turn on him and join Reigns, Sikoa, and Paul Heyman in The Bloodline. He would then proceed to accuse his brother for the attack that put him in the ICU and give some flimsy justification for why the gang was more appropriate than meeting up with his own twin. At the final moment of the show, it would produce a shocking and electrifying finish that would spark discussion on social media. However, in practice, it would only be effective as a brief shock.

After following the twin brothers on a difficult journey to a point where they fought for themselves, it would seem unfair for one of them to turn back to The Tribal Chief’s manipulation. It would appear to be a significant event that sparks discussion at the time, but it would appear to be more of an Attitude Era swerve than a logical development in a plot that had hit all the appropriate notes up to that point.

The Tribal Chief Remains

Sikoa has hinted about wanting to take on the role of The Tribal Chief on numerous occasions. He has been shown glaring at Reigns, examining the tribal lie, and displaying a disgruntled expression after being cast aside as The Enforcer. Being the more bodily powerful part of The Bloodline while doing all of this. He will be the last piece to fall; without him, The Tribal Chief won’t have a tribe, something neither Sami Zayn nor The Usos have accomplished.

Due to Sikoa’s departure, Reigns would be left alone for the first time since his ascent to the top of the WWE three years ago and the start of his historic reign as the uncontested WWE universal champion. Additionally, it would give him the opportunity to go through the last member of his family, but that all begins on Saturday at SummerSlam. Sikoa saves Reigns in this match, demonstrating his importance by playing a crucial role in his cousin’s victorious championship defense.

He is the one who kills his own brother, aids in maintaining The Head of the Table, and the plot develops from there. Sikoa appears keen on completing another route in his personal quest, and Reigns tends to spot him looking at him. He eventually takes a stand for himself and challenges The Tribal Chief for his position, following in the footsteps of Sami Zayn and The Usos. Reigns is forced to accept the fact that he is lonely when he just about wins that match and keeps his belt.
