After making his professional wrestling debut on February 14, 2021 at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day, LA Knight left a lasting impression. Fans believed he was headed to failure after his main roster run’s early phases. Fortunately, LA Knight is currently in a lot better situation and is poised to achieve greatness. Now, it seems as though WWE has been persuaded to make LA Knight a prominent figure. The former NXT star has grown significantly as a result of his excellent promo work, and he has offered fans numerous compelling reasons to believe in his true skill.

WWE’s top names in merchandising

Despite receiving poor narratives during his time on the main roster thus far, LA Knight has managed to triumph on his own. He has gained the admiration of many thanks to his tenacity while working for Vince McMahon. The wrestling veteran claimed that Knight was one of WWE’s top names when it comes to merchandise sales on the latest season of Story Time with Dutch Mantell. Additionally, Mantell lobbied WWE to make LA Knight a prominent star.

‘This guy is number one’

“They [WWE] look at merchandise sales. This guy is number one, this female wrestler is number two, number three, [and] so on. No longer that he’s been there, he’s already number four in merchandise sales. He was number four in losing matches. He lost (…) five or six in a row. But it doesn’t matter because the fans are telling the promotion, ‘Listen, we’ll support this guy if you put him in something.’ And if you put him in something now, what’s that tell WWE? Oh, if we make him more high-profile, more merchandise will sell. I want to commend him in [sic] doing a great job.” Exclaimed Dutch Mantell.

Whether Knight ultimately succeeds in capturing the championship remains to be seen.
