This former WWE Superstar wished to wrestle until she was 100 years old

Mae Young reportedly declared to Vince McMahon that she intended to fight when she turned 100 years old, according to WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray. Mae Young passed away on January 14, 2014, at the age of 90. She is one of the most admired figures in wrestling history and has left an unbelievable legacy. On March 12, 2023, Mae Young would have turned 100. In March, on the occasion of Young’s birthday, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray shared a touching story in a tweet. According to Ray, Mae Young informed Vince McMahon that she wished to compete after she reached the age of 100.

“I like to think of her as 1 of my wrestling Angels who always watches over me. She told VKM she wanted to wrestle when she turned 100. Today would have been that day. HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY in Heaven Mae. We miss you. I love you. ❤️🙏”  Tweeted Bully Ray. 

Mae Young Classic tournaments 

Due to her funny moments on WWE TV in the past, Mae Young enjoyed a good deal of popularity among fans. Additionally, she took part in a number of really unsettling portions with Bully Ray. On a RAW show, Ray powerbombed her through a table, which is still remembered by viewers. To honor the late wrestler’s memory, Vince McMahon hosted two Mae Young Classic tournaments in 2017 and 2018. The first Mae Young Classic was won by Kairi Sane, and Toni Storm triumphed in the second iteration of the competition.

Angle with Mark Henry 

The most notorious Mae Young WWE incident occurred during her on-screen romance with Mark Henry. According to the angle, Mae became pregnant and ultimately gave birth to a hand. Later, Henry recalls asking Vince about the perspective and not exactly receiving a resounding response.
