Colby Lopez, a.k.a. Seth Rollins, was born in Buffalo, Iowa, on May 28, 1986. Lopez, Rollins’ stepfather, reared him. In his early years, he was quiet and introverted. He had always wanted to be a professional wrestler since he was a youngster, and his dreams came true in 2005 when he debuted as Gixx. On the border of Chicago and Oak Park, Illinois, Rollins trained at Danny Daniels’ wrestling school.

Seth Rollins began learning wrestling manoeuvres when he was 14 years old. He and several of his pals began backyard wrestling, primarily utilizing a trampoline. During these years, Rollins decided to pursue a career in professional wrestling.

Along with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose a.k.a Jon Moxley, Seth Rollins marked his Survivor Series debut. During their WWE Championship bout, the three attacked John Cena and Ryback. All three of them are excellent wrestlers. Seth Rollins is one of the most gifted in-ring performers to ever step foot in the ring. Working in the independent circuit

Rollins began his career in his hometown of Iowa in 2005. She worked her way up the wrestling ladder by working for TNA, NWA, and PWG. Seth earned his way to ROH after winning bouts and championships.

Making a name at ROH

During his stint with ROH, Lopez went by the alias Tyler Black. When Black made his ROH debut, he made an impression and created The Age of The Fall stable with Jimmy Jacobs and Necro Butcher. The stable faced up against The Briscoe Brothers. They easily defeated The Briscoe Brothers and captured the ROH Tag Team Titles. Following the loss of the tag belts, Black challenged Nigel McGuinness for the ROH World Title, but was defeated.

Tyler competed for the ROH World Title against Nigel McGuinness in a series of bouts. At the Final Battle in December 2008, Black’s allies turned against him and supported Austin Aries. Tyler fought Jimmy Jacobs, a buddy turned opponent, in a steel cage bout to put a stop to their animosity.

Tyler returns to ROH after a break due to a neck injury and won the Survival of the Fittest tournament to earn a world championship opportunity. Tyler fought Austin Aries in a 60-minute draw for the world championship at Final Battle 2009. They scheduled a rematch between the two on the show’s ninth anniversary, where Tyler triumphed over Aries to become the new world champion.

Tyler became a villain as the news of his WWE contract was made public. Tyler defended his title a few times before threatening to take the trophy with him. Black lost the ROH World Championship to Roderick Strong in a no-disqualification match on September 11 at Glory By Honor IX, ending his reign at 210 days after seven successful title defenses. That was his final performance before joining WWE.

First-ever NXT Champion

Lopez agreed to a developmental deal with the organization and was launched as Seth Rollins. Rollins competed against names such as Damien Sandow, Titus O Neil, Big E, and Adam Rose. Rollins began a feud with Dean Ambrose. They competed in a series of Iron Man battles, with Rollins coming out on top. Rollins competed in the gold rush tournament, where he defeated Jinder Mahal in the finals to become the first NXT Champion.

Making his main roster debut with SHIELD

Seth Rollins debuted alongside Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose at Survivor Series. During the WWE Championship bout, the three assaulted John Cena and Ryback. The group dubbed themselves The Shield and began a feud with Team Hell No and Ryback. They defeated Team Hell No and Ryback in a TLC match.

In a six-man competition, the trio defeated a number of superstars including Daniel Bryan, Kane, Ryback, and John Cena. They made their debut at WrestleMania, defeating Sheamus, Randy Orton, and Big Show.

The team won the WWE Tag Team Championship and the United States Championship at Extreme Rules 2013. Following a couple of successful defenses, Rollins and Reigns faced the Rhodes Brothers, who defeated them on Raw. They competed in the Survivor Series and won, launching their feud with CM Punk. They came to an end at TLC, as they were defeated by Punk in a handicapped match 3-1.

The Shield’s famous feud with The Wyatt Family began after they squandered an opportunity inside Elimination Chamber. The trios competed in Elimination Chamber, which the Wyatt Family won. The trio defeated Evolution in Extreme Rules and Payback. On the Raw following Payback, Seth Rollins abandoned his shield brothers in favour of Triple H and Randy Orton.

Betraying SHIELD to become the World Champion

Seth Rollins won the Money in the Bank ladder match after turning heel and joining the Authority. He spent the first few months fighting Dean Ambrose and came out on top. He began his feud with John Cena and competed against Team Cena at Survivor Series. Team Authority has defeated thanks to Sting’s assistance. Nevertheless, before meeting Brock Lesnar in a Triple Threat Fight for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble, Rollins and Cena battled each other twice.

After the Royal Rumble, Rollins began his feud with Randy Orton. Orton defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31. On the same night, Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and defeated Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Title. Seth’s reign lasted 220 days when he had to abdicate due to a knee ailment. Seth beat Kane, Randy Orton, Ryback, Dolph Ziggler, Neville, Sting, and John Cena during his reign.

Turning face

Rollins made a surprise appearance at Extreme Rules 2016 and assaulted Roman Reigns. Rollins and Reigns competed for the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank 2016, which he won. During the cash in, he lost the title to Dean Ambrose. At SummerSlam, Rollins lost the Universal Championship to Finn Balor. Before the conclusion of the year, Rollins had feuds with Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho.

Rollins stormed TakeOver San Antonio to confront Triple H over his assistance to Kevin Owens in their Universal Championship battle. Rollins was attacked by Samoa Joe and was imprisoned for several months. Rollins defeated Triple H in an unofficial bout at WrestleMania 33.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins rivalry

After losing the championship to Dolph Ziggler, Rollins, and Ziggler battled for the title in a series of bouts. It came to an end at SummerSlam, where he defeated Ziggler to win the championship and begin his second reign. Ambrose and Rollins defeated Dolph and McIntyre to win the Tag Team Titles. Nevertheless, Ambrose turned on Rollins, sparking their feud. At TLC 2018, Rollins lost the tag championship to AOP and the Intercontinental title to Ambrose.

Rollins competed in and won the Royal Rumble. At WrestleMania 35, he battled Brock Lesnar and won the Universal Title. During a few months, he competed for the championship with Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin. After cashing in, Rollins lost the championship to Brock. In SummerSlam, Rollins recaptured the championship. He battled the Fiend twice and was defeated in the Universal Championship match at Crown Jewel. He flipped the script and joined forces with the AOP to fight Kevin Owens.

Then Rollins continued to have many fueds with the likes of Kevin Owens, Rey Mysterio, Austin Theory and now Logan Paul. Rollins is all set to face Logan Paul at WrestleMania 39.
