WWE star Ronda Rousey has now reacted to her segment with her former tag partner Shayna Baszler on the July 3 edition of Raw.
Following her appearance on the July 3 episode of Raw with her old tag partner Shayna Baszler, WWE superstar Ronda Rousey has spoken. Her long-running feud with Shayna Baszler, which had been put on hold due to Rousey’s arm injury, has now been restarted by WWE. The conflict began when Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey faced off against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. WWE’s much anticipated fight began after Baszler “betrayed” Rousey by attacking her during the bout.
Baszler appeared on Raw to defend her actions after she attacked Rousey during their Women’s Tag Team Championship defense at Money in the Bank 2023. Rousey and Baszler got into a fight after Baszler said she was the reason Rousey was in a WWE arena. Ronda was eventually knocked out by a powerful knee blow. Rousey summarized the part in a highlights video that she shared on Instagram. The previous UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion wrote in the post’s caption:
After losing to Amanda Nunes in 2016, former UFC champion Ronda Rousey left the company and said she might never return. She joined WWE permanently in 2018 after a few appearances each year. Whatever she stated, rumors of the mixed martial artist’s return to the UFC started to spread.
The rumors gained traction after Amanda Nunes announced her retirement in June 2023, leaving the 135-pound championship vacant. Internet users started to speculate that Rousey, 36, will make a comeback to contend for the vacant bantamweight title after UFC announcer Jon Anik named her as a prospective contender.
