Samatha Irvin's move to WWE Raw keeps her on the same brand as her fiancé, Ricochet, who was drafted to the red brand with his tag team partner, Braun Strowman.

Ricochet has been drafted to RAW alongside Braun Strowman. But now he gets to be with his girlfriend who he is engaged to. For those, who don’t know, his girlfriend is a ring announcer. She is none other than Samantha Irvin. As the WWE ring announcers are changing brands. Samatha Irvin gets to be on RAW, whereas Mike Rome gets drafted to SmackDown.
The 2023 WWE Draught took place on the April 28 edition of WWE SmackDown and the May 1 episode of WWE Raw. Additional selections were made on the April 29 episode of The SmackDown LowDown and the May 1 episode of Raw Talk. While many WWE Superstars switched brands, the WWE Draft also had an impact on non-wrestlers.
According to WWE’s official website, Samantha Irvin is transferring to Raw, and Mike Rome to SmackDown. “Samantha Irvin will be the ring announcer for Raw, Mike Rome will be the ring announcer for SmackDown”.
When the updated rosters go into effect on Monday, May 8, Irvin will be the ring announcer for WWE Raw and Rome will be the ring announcer for WWE SmackDown. In recent months, Irvin has emerged as a fan-favorite ring announcer, with her introductions of Imperium (WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci) and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns receiving her widespread acclaim.
Irvin will be on the same brand as her fiancé, Ricochet, who was recruited to the red brand alongside his tag team partner, Braun Strowman, by going to WWE Raw.

Trevor Dean Mann feels more comfortable sharing the beans now that she has said “yes” and is officially engaged to Samantha Irvin. Ricochet claimed that he had a whole other plan to propose to his fiancée, but had to call an audible due to unanticipated circumstances.
“I was going to do it on New Year’s when we went to see a Tenacious D concert,” Ricochet began. “We just flew in that day, and the concert didn’t end till like 1:30. We were just so tired. So, I realized this was not the time to do it. I had it [the ring] in my jacket pocket all night. I initially thought I’d just propose once the concert ends. We were just too tired and went back to the hotel.
“The funny thing is, the ring was in my backpack in our hotel room, but she doesn’t have the habit of looking through my things. Or she would have known [I was going to propose].”
He stated that they have a list of names and around 200 guests for the wedding but are not in a rush to finalize the list. Ricochet and Irvin are aiming for “next September” as a wedding date, but are keeping other possibilities open.
“For us, we didn’t even need to get married,” Ricochet admitted. “We were chilling and doing our thing. But I just love her and wanted to. We’re just taking it little by little and plan to do it when we’re comfortable and how we like it.”
