June 19, 2023 from the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, WWE Monday Night Raw will return to our lives with all the most recent buildup to the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view. This week, Trish Stratus and Raquel Rodriguez engaged in a qualifying match for the women’s MITB match. In a Night of Champions rematch, Rhea Ripley faced Natalya, and Matt Riddle faced Ludwig Kaiser of Imperium. In order to prepare for his upcoming storyline, Jake Paul also made a comeback to WWE. Let’s review what happened in Monday’s episode.

Plans changed

Thanks to Vince McMahon, Monday’s WWE Raw show had a number of alterations. Seth Rollins, the World Heavyweight Champion, was due to host an open challenge for his championship when Finn Balor attacked him in the first scene of the programme. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Vince McMahon made “drastic changes” to the programme, including the Rollins opening segment. Rollins was supposed to host the challenge in the opening segment, according to Dave Meltzer’s report in the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

‘Vince changed the first 30 minutes of the show’

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com reviewed the subject on Wrestling Observer Radio. “That was the plan [open challenge]. The open challenge was supposed to happen till the last minute. Vince changed the first 30 minutes of the show…I heard, was totally changed. Vince really wanted this whole Seth Rollins angle with Finn Balor. I think he just wanted something big, something bigger for Seth Rollins and Finn Balor, because I think it’s just to heat up Finn Balor.”

“To be fair, I know people who are there who told me, ‘Look, as far as the 30 minutes that Vince put in, it was better than the 30 minutes that was taken out’. So whatever that means. They worked really hard at building Seth Rollins-Finn Balor.” Added Meltzer
