When Grayson Waller was promoted to the WWE main roster, he didn’t start wrestling immediately. Having said that, he won his first bout on the main roster, and he made it count. This week on SmackDown, Grayson Waller featured Edge on his Grayson Waller Effect segment. Waller’s first match as a member of the main roster resulted from this encounter. Grayson Waller’s efforts on the WWE main roster have been noticed, according to Sean Sapp, who made the observation behind Frightful’s paywall. In fact, this was discussed even prior to his battle with Edge.

Positive Reactions

Even prior to his battle with Edge, Grayson Waller’s performance during the previous week received a lot of great feedback.  The final selection in the 2023 WWE Draft’s supplemental round was Grayson Waller’s name. Nevertheless, he dominated much of the attention. Waller had an injury during his final NXT match against Carmelo Hayes, but he recovered fast. Grayson Waller’s match against Edge on SmackDown came right after a Money in the Bank promo with John Cena. He appears to be off to a fantastic start on the WWE main roster.

The Push from WWE

The WWE is clearly anxious to keep Grayson Waller in front of the cameras and expose him to as many viewers as possible, therefore he is currently the subject of a push. This week’s Friday Night SmackDown at Madison Square Garden in New York City continued that as he hosted a new installment of his talk show, “The Grayson Waller Effect,” featuring a special appearance by the Edge, who was back in action.

Edge’s return

Edge became overly sentimental and cut the spectacular babyface promo, focusing instead on how much it meant to him that his fans accepted him and were big dreamers and hard workers. This year marks the 25th anniversary of his debut in WWE, and he’s just so grateful as he approaches the conclusion of the trip. Naturally, Waller pushed him to make his retirement public.
