The 70-year-old Haynes was taken into custody after a reported two-hour standoff with police at his home, during which he was reportedly uncooperative. Police discovered Becraft, 85, shot to death in the residence.
Haynes is now facing a second-degree murder charge, along with an unlawful use of a weapon charge. His trial has been scheduled for April 11.
Standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 246 pounds, Haynes had a notable career in professional wrestling.
