Former WWE and WCW wrestler Billy Jack Haynes, whose real name is William Albert Haynes, appeared in court this week following the tragic shooting death of his wife, Janette Becraft, on February 8.

The 70-year-old Haynes was taken into custody after a reported two-hour standoff with police at his home, during which he was reportedly uncooperative. Police discovered Becraft, 85, shot to death in the residence.

Haynes is now facing a second-degree murder charge, along with an unlawful use of a weapon charge. His trial has been scheduled for April 11.

Standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 246 pounds, Haynes had a notable career in professional wrestling. He began his journey in the wrestling world in the mid-1980s, gaining popularity in the then-WWF (World Wrestling Federation) under the ring name “Billy Jack Haynes.” Known for his impressive physique and intensity in the ring, Haynes quickly became a fan favorite.
