Before addressing the outstanding business with Lesnar, Rhodes emphasized the relationship he had with the audience.
He admitted that, despite the enthusiastic response from the fans and his physical presence, Brock Lesnar was the cause of his poor in-ring momentum. Rhodes also demanded a rematch against The Beast Incarnate at SummerSlam 2023. On social media, this statement caused confusion among supporters, with some assuming that the rubber match would be a requirement.
A rubber match, however, usually refers to a tiebreaker contest. A rubber match is held to decide who wins the rivalry or series once two superstars are tied on victories. In this instance, Rhodes and Lesnar had already faced off twice. At Backlash 2023, Rhodes prevailed in their first match, but Lesnar won and exacted retribution at Night of Champions 2023. According to reports, the Rhodes and Lesnar’s rematch will now happen at SummerSlam.

Since their second meeting at Night of Champions 2023, there have been rumors about The Beast Incarnate and The American Nightmare’s rematch. There were rumors that their trilogy match may have a stipulation, and one of the suggested options was a Bull Rope match. The two stars appear to become intertwined during a Bull Rope bout since the rope will force them to engage in combat. However, such a requirement is certain to benefit Lesnar, who is undoubtedly the more physically powerful of the two guys.
WWE might also consider various bout formats and decide on something like a No Holds Barred contest or even a street fight. Fans who are already anticipating the trilogy fight between the two stalwarts could be won over by an I Quit bout. On the next RAW episode, Brock Lesnar is scheduled to make an appearance. It will be fascinating to watch if he brings up a condition throughout their conversation.
