The Attitude Era was the best according to some supporters. Nevertheless, some of the top performers were present during that time.

The Attitude Era is arguably the only period in pro wrestling history to be comparable to WWE’s Golden Era. The Attitude Era was arguably the best era ever, according to some supporters. Nevertheless, some of the top performers in corporate history were present during that time. Unfortunately, action figure technology at the time wasn’t up to par. This implied that Attitude Era celebrities weren’t receiving the best action figures. Since 2010, Mattel has produced several excellent Attitude Era figurines, making up for many of the prior wrongs. However, a few of those numbers stand out from the others.

Kane

The Ultimate Edition Kane will be included in a Raw Is War ring set that Mattel will issue in 2023. Instead of his usual black-on-red costume, this Kane will wear “The Big Red Machine’s” alternate red-on-black outfit. This Kane will quickly rise to the top of many collectors’ “must-own” lists, assuming there are no manufacturing difficulties.

Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle made his WWE debut at the 1999 Survivor Series, adding to an already deep roster. Angle comprises just two Elites from the WWE’s Attitude Era, although representing one of its major contributors. Especially viewed alongside other prominent individuals from that era, that is a small number. This Entrance Greats Angle is unquestionably the greatest of the two figures. It included gold medals, a display stand that plays Angle’s entrance tune, and a picture of Angle dressed for his debut. More Angle figurines should be released overall by Mattel, but especially more Attitude Era figures. This Angle is the best there is for the time being, which is okay because the figure is excellent.

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho’s tenure in the WWE began with a bang thanks to one of the most memorable debuts in the sport’s history. However, it took Jericho some time to settle in at WWE after that. He would eventually change Raw Is War into “Raw Is Jericho.” The Best Of Attitude Era series from Mattel was the ideal place to include that rendition of Y2J. The Jericho figurine also included some really striking red tights decorated with black and silver barbed wire. The soft goods “Raw Is Jericho” shirt that this specific figure comes with makes it outstanding. This will probably be the standard Jericho Elite for quite some time given that Jericho is now part of AEW for the foreseeable future.

The Undertaker

One of the best stories WWE has ever told is the one between The Undertaker and Kane. Kane has frequently been linked to The Undertaker ever since his 1997 debut. On the 7/6/1998 Monday Night Raw, one of the most iconic moments of the Kayfabe brothers’ tenure in the WWE occurred when Kane took off his mask to reveal that Undertaker had been dressing up as him that night. Mattel’s ‘Taker’s Revenge Elite, a Ringside Collectibles exclusive, perfectly captures that wonderful moment. Two interchangeable Undertaker and Kane heads were included with the figure. Along with a WWE Championship belt, it also included a detachable mask for Taker to wear while on display.

Shawn Michaels

Even though he retired in early 1998, Shawn Michaels was a flashpoint for controversy during the Attitude Era. Whatever the case, HBK had an impact on the time he lived in. Michaels’ notorious Montreal Screwjob during Survivor Series 1997 is perhaps his most enduring memory from the Attitude Era.

The outfit Michaels wore that evening served as the model for Mattel’s 2020 Ultimate Edition Series 4 figure. The best Shawn Michaels figure ever made is possibly this one. Everything, including the entrance dress accessories and head scans, was well received. Because of how well received and in demand this figure was, Mattel actually brought it back in 2022.
