Laval, France, is hosting the fourth installment of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Challenger Cup 2023 from July 27 to 30, 2023, at the Espace Mayenne. This yearly international event offers a platform for women’s volleyball squads from eight diverse nations, each vying for a ticket to the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2024.
The last edition of the Challenger Cup saw Croatia clinching victory after a nail-biting face-off against Belgium, and secured their position in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2023. However, Croatia’s quarterfinal loss suggests a fresh champion will have the honor of competing in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2024.

After managing to conquer victory in a hard-fought battle against Mexico which came by a margin of 3-2, the Swedish side will face Colombia, the team which defeated Kenya by 3-1 in the quarter-final of the Challenger Cup.
