FIVB Volleyball Women's Challenger Cup 2023: How to watch, nations participating, schedule, and more?

The fourth iteration of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Challenger Cup, also the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Challenger Cup 2023, is slated to take place from July 27 to 30, 2023, at Espace Mayenne, Laval, France. This annual women’s global volleyball competition, which plays a pivotal role as a qualifier for the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League, will be contested by eight national teams.

The new teams in this year’s FIVB Volleyball Women’s Challenger Cup include Kenya, Mexico, Sweden, Ukraine, and Vietnam. The competition has a knock-out structure, commencing with quarterfinals and concluding with the grand finale. The host nation, France, will compete against the lowest ranked team in its quarterfinal match. The remaining teams, ranked from 2nd to 7th, will be positioned based on the FIVB World Ranking as of July 10, 2023.

Croatia emerged victorious in the last edition of the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Challenger Cup, clinching the title in a tough battle against Belgium at the final held at Krešimir Ćosić Hall in Zadar, Croatia. This victory paved Croatia’s path to the 2023 Nations League, taking the place of Belgium, the lowest-ranked challenger team from the 2022 tournament. Meanwhile, in the match for third place, Puerto Rico defeated Colombia.
