The Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship 2023 got underway from December 6 to December 10, 2023, in Bengaluru, India. The competition saw the participating from six best volleyball clubs in the world namely – Sir Safety Perugia, Itambe Minas, Halkbank Spor Kulubu, Suntory Sunbirds, Sada Cruzeiro Volei, and Ahmedabad Defenders. The 18th edition of the competition is all set for its grand final and third-place match, scheduled to be held on December 10, 2023.
Turkish club Halkbank Spor Kulubu will take on one of the biggest Japanese clubs, Suntory Sunbirds, on Dec 10 at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru. Both teams, who made their first appearance at the Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship, will be battling it out for the third place in the first match of the day. Halkbank lost to defending champions Perugia in their last match, while the Sunbirds lost against Itambe Minas in a nail-biting contest by 3-2 (22-25, 25-22, 30-28, 25-20, 17-15).
