The CEV Women’s European Volleyball Championship 2023, run by the main organization for Volleyball in Europe, is slated for August 15 to September 3, 2023. This championship will host 24 teams from different countries and will have games across four locations in Europe – Belgium, Estonia, Germany, and Italy. Italy took home the trophy in the previous 2021 tournament, beating Serbia by 3-1. Currently, 16 teams have secured their spots in the initial elimination (Round of 16) stage.

On August 27, 2023, the Netherlands will play Switzerland in the Round of 16 match at the CEV Women’s European Volleyball Championship 2023. With five wins in five matches, the Netherlands displayed their phenomenal form at the Eurovolley women’s championship by topping Pool D. Meanwhile, Switzerland made it to the top 16 after placing fourth in Pool B with two victories and three defeats. Based on present form, the Netherlands is likely to secure a comprehensive victory over Switzerland.
