The FIVB Women’s Volleyball Club World Championship 2023 is slated to be held in Hangzhou, China, from December 13 to December 17, 2023. This year’s event will see the participation of six top-tier volleyball clubs. Tianjin Bohai Bank Women’s Volleyball Club will represent the host nation. The two elite clubs from Istanbul, Turkey – Eczacibasi Dynavit Istanbul and VakifBank Spor Kulubu will also be competing in the event. Besides these teams, Brazil’s champion clubs namely Gerdau Minas from Belo Horizonte and Dentil Praia Clube from Uberlandia are also in the fray, along with the debutant team from Vietnam, Sport Center I Women’s Club.
On December 13, 2023, Tianjin Bohai Bank will lock horns with Gerdau Minas at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship 2023 in a Pool-A clash. The Bohai Bank qualified in the competition as the hosts and the Chinese national champions. On the other hand, Minas advanced to the competition as a finalist in the 2023 South American Women’s Club Championship. The team had to settle for the silver medal in the competition.
