The women’s doubles pair of Manika Batra and Diya Parag Chitale will take on the Mauritius pair of Oumenahi Hosenally and Nandeshwaree Jalim in the round of 16. Batra and Chitale was part of the women’s table tennis team that failed to qualify for the medal matches. They will therefore be willing to make amends in the singles and doubles categories. Batra and Chitale were successful in their round of 32 match earlier in the competition. The pair had defeated the Trinidad and Tobago duo of Rheann Chung and Catherine Spicer in the previous round.
Manika Batra and Diya Parag Chitale will take on Oumenahi Hosenally and Nandeshwaree Jalim in the round of 16 of the women’s doubles event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games on August 5. As per the official website, the match is scheduled for the first session of the day which will begin from 2 pm IST and go on until 6:30 pm IST.
