The men’s doubles pair of Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Sharath Kamal have been on an absolute tear so far at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and they will be playing to make it into the final. Sharath Kamal and Gnanasekaran will face the Australian duo of Nicholas Lum and Finn Luu in the semi-final of the men’s doubles category in Birmingham. Earlier, the Indian pair had defeated home favourites Tom Jarvis and Sam Walker to make it through to the last four of the competition. The score at the end of the tie was 3-0. The first couple of games were close as Kamal and Gnanasekaran had to dig deep to churn out 11-8 victories on both occasions. However, the Indian pair asserted their dominance in the final game of the day with a comfortable 11-4 triumph.
Sharath Kamal and Sathiya Gnanasekaran will take on Nicholas Lum and Finn Luu in the semi-final of the men’s doubles event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games on August 6. As per the official website, the match is scheduled to begin at 12:25 pm BST (4:55 pm IST).
