AS Roma are reportedly on the verge of signing Arsenal player Maitland-Niles. The 24-year-old, who emerged as an exciting talent at the start of his Arsenal career, has suffered a recent decline. Meanwhile Inter Milan are considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain defender Thilo Kehrer in the summer. And, according to La Stampa (via Milan news), AC Milan are trying hard to bring in Sven Botman from Lille while the Rossoneri continue to be the first choice destination for Andrea Belotti, it is claimed.

Maitland-Niles hasn’t been able to establish himself at the London club and spent the second half of last season on loan at West Brom. This season, the Englishman has played only eight league games but the total playing time amounts to less than three 90-minute stints. Everton wanted to sign him but Arsenal blocked the move, though he took to social media to vent his frustration at his lack of playing time.

Meanwhile talks over a move to Roma have been ongoing for the past few weeks with Jose Mourinho interested in signing the youngster. Il Corriere dello Sport claims Roma are on the verge of announcing his signing. They claim that talks have reached a positive conclusion and Maitland-Niles’ camp have “reached an agreement” on personal terms.

The report says that the full-back will initially sign a loan deal, with a three-year deal commencing from July 1. The deal will run until summer 2025 and see Maitland-Niles earn 2.5 million Euros per season. Maitland-Niles now looks destined to become the third Englishman at Roma alongside Chris Smalling and Tammy Abraham.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have offered 20 million Euros to Lille for Botman

On the other hand, According to Libero newspaper, Inter Milan are stepping up their interest in German international Kehrer. The Nerazzurri are ready to reinforce their defensive options during the summer transfer window. Kehrer is seen as an alternative to Borussia Moenchengladbach’s Mathias Ginter and that he would cost around 20 million Euros. Kehrer could be a very good addition to the Inter squad as the versatile defender can very well fit into the three-man defense.

Torino’s talisman Belotti as not renewed his contract expiring in June and therefore in the summer he will leave on a free transfer. Toronto has come forward but the Italian wants to join his boyhood club Milan instead.

According to La Stampa, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have offered 20 million Euros to Lille for Botman , in an attempt to get the French club to sell the Dutchman before the end of the month
