AC Milan sign Serbian forward Marko Lazetic

Lazetic's deal with the Italian giants is until June 2026 and the 18-year-old will wear the Number 22 Jersey at San Siro.

AC Milan have officially signed Serbian striker Marko Lazetic from Red Star Belgrade in a deal reportedly worth 4 million euro. The forward turned 18 last week and has one goal in five international appearances at the Under-19 level. His deal with the Italian giants is until June 2026 and he will wear the Number 22 Jersey. Red Star Belgrade are believed to be getting 4 million euro plus 1 million euro in performance -related bonuses and a percentage on any further transfer.

He is a product of the Red Star’s youth system and made his debut in November 2020 at the age of 16 after rising through the ranks of the youth setup. The teenager joined second tier side Graficer on a six-month loan deal last February and scored four league goals for the club.

He caught Milan’s attention in September with two goals in the UEFA Youth League against St Patrick’s Athletic YL. Meanwhile Lazetic has been a consistent member of the first team this season, making 14 Super liga Srbije appearances scoring one goal.

Lazetic is described as one for the future because of his hard-working nature and physical prowess. He has good power and strength with a strong level of stamina. Interestingly, Lazetic is the cousin of former Torino and Genoa winger Nikola Lazetic.

“AC Milan announces that Marko Lazetić has joined the Rossoneri from Red Star Belgrade on a permanent deal. The Serbian striker has signed a contract with the Club lasting until 30 June 2026.

“Born in Belgrade, Serbia, on 22 January 2004, Marko came through the Red Star Belgrade youth ranks before making his first-team debut in November 2020. He was then loaned to Grafičar, for whom he scored four goals in 14 appearances. Having returned to Red Star Belgrade in the summer of 2021, this season has seen him find the net once in 16 matches.”

He is an effective replacement for Pietro Pellegrini, who terminated his loan from AS Monaco in order to join Torino.

Arthur Cabral to replace Vlahovic at Fiorentina

Fiorntina want to sign Basel forward Arthur Cabral to replace Vlahovic and have submitted an opening bid of 14 million euro. According to Sportitalia, The initial 10 million euro bid was rejected, but a deal should be done for 14-15 million euro including performance-related bonuses. 

Cabral’s current contract with FC Basel runs until June 2023. The 23-year-old Brazilian made the move from Palmeiras in 2019, initially on loan and then on a permanent basis for a total 7 million euro fee. He has scored an impressive 27 goals in 31 competitive games for Basel so far this season, including five in six Europa Conference League matches.
