This year’s European Games is taking place in Kraków-Małopolska in Poland where 7,000 athletes from 48 different countries from Albania to Ukraine are competing in 29 different disciplines. Action on the first three days will be dedicated to the 3rd and 2nd Divisions, which will be held in the morning and evening sessions, respectively, between June 20-22. The coverage will then switch to the 1st Division, which will be occupying the featured evening slots in the Slaski Stadium between June 23-25. The European Games return for a third edition to be hosted in Poland over the next two weeks. This is the first time that Poland has hosted the European Games. All Olympic sports held at the 2023 European Games will provide qualification opportunities for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

Several of Europe’s best athletes will be in action over the next six days. European powerhouses Poland, Great Britain & Northern Ireland, Germany, Spain, France, Netherlands, Finland, and Norway, in addition to Ireland, Ukraine, and Italy, are just a few of the nations that will be in action at the 2023 European Athletics Team Championships. For the first time in the championship history, all three divisions will be held in the same venue as part of the 2023 European Games in Krakow-Malopolska.

As there is a huge chance of qualifying for the Summer Olympics, the athletes are giving their all to excel at the highest level. There are 19 Olympic sports that are featured at the Games. Out of this, 11 sports offer direct tickets to Paris and nine more offer Olympic ranking points. The opening ceremony took place in the Henryk Rayman Stadium. With so much on the line, it will be an interesting 13 days of sporting competition in Europe.
