Two in-form teams will face each other in match 28 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 as Punjab Kings (PBKS) go up against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai on April 17 (Sunday). After beating Mumbai Indians (MI) in their last match, PBKS have won three out of the five games this season and will be looking to build on that. SRH, on the other hand, is on a streak of three consecutive wins after losing their first two matches.

Though both teams have three matches each, PBKS is lacking the consistency that could have taken them further up the IPL table. They have won alternate games so far and would be eager to break that pattern. PBKS have a formidable batting unit with Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan opening the proceedings and players like Liam Livingstone producing the flourish they need towards the end. Punjab’s bowling unit comprising the likes of Rahul Chahar and Kagiso Rabada have been okay with the ball but the team needs more if they are to overpower SRH.

SRH endured a bad start to the ongoing IPL season after losing the first two matches but have turned the tide in their favour by winning the next three. They have displayed an all-round performance in the last three matches. Rahul Tripathi, Abhishek Sharma and skipper Kane Williamson have proved to be Hyderabad’s key performers with the bat. SRH’s bowling unit consisting of Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen and Umran Malik have looked good so far.
