Rajasthan Royals’ swashbuckling opener and England wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler is quite impressed with his RR team-mate Prasidh Krishna. He said that the young speedster has all the attributes which are required to become a successful pace bowler and he believes the youngster will play for India in all three formats.

Prasidh Krishna has been impressive since his ODI debut for India in March 2021. Even he did well for his previous IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders. However, for this season, Rajasthan Royals bought him for 10 crore ahead of IPL 2022 and he has been doing well too.

“He has some pace in the nets and skills, he’s got all the attributes to be a very successful fast bowler for India in all formats of the game. I see him playing red-ball cricket for India as well,” Jos Buttler said at the press conference. The veteran opener feels that the team is benefitting from the ‘invaluable experience’ of veterans Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult in important situations.

“Their experience is really invaluable. Having those guys is fantastic, we have lots of experience to draw from. Against Mumbai, the game was in the balance and we needed wickets. Ashwin came up with a fantastic wicket and then Yuzi got two for two. Those guys are top performers and they know how to get things done,” Jos Buttler further added.

While talking about Sanju Samson, he said that the captain has matured as a player since the beginning.

“Not many changes (since Sanju became captain). That is one of the greatest attributes any leader has to have — being yourself, being authentic. Sanju definitely has that. His game has matured, cricket has matured, he’s older and wiser than when we first started. We enjoy playing under his leadership. He makes a great environment. He’s a fun guy who has respect from the entire group,” Jos Buttler concluded.
